Very nice and original…
Growing up in the fifties an sixties was a wonderful time to be a child. When the Russians launched sputnik, I was too young to fear. I looked up to the heavens an saw beyond the stars, the Russians had launched my imagination into space with their satellite, and there it would remain through my teen years.

Intrigued by the workings of the mind, and by my dreams, I found I was losing interest in the outer world. I found myself looking not up, but inward. I became interested in Eastern thought, with its emphasis on looking within for answers. What I found there was far more wonderful then outer space. And it has taken me down paths I would have never ventured otherwise.

This work I do, is my meditation, concentration, my center. These images are but the outer manifestations of something far more, taking place within me. The real work, of which I’m still becoming aware, but mostly unconscious of.

Some of his works are very nice.
Blake Flynn has been practicing art since the time he could first grasp a crayon; however, having an aversion to starving, he embarked on a long-term plan to first ply his design skills in the engineering field. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1984 where he also studied Art, Art History and Architecture. Further training included coursework in drawing at the Academy of Realist Art in Seattle.

At the end of 1999 he left a successful career in aerospace engineering to become a full-time artist. Since that time he has had a number of solo and group exhibitions, been invited into a number of juried shows, won several awards, and has had his work featured in Amazing Stories magazine and on the cover of 48° North magazine. His work is included in a number of local, national and international private collections.

These paintings are made in a very original style.

At the age of seventeen, she entered ArtSchool, then continued her studies at the Ecole des arts Decoratifs in Paris.
For ten years she worked in creative publicity, and at the same time painted numerous pictures.
In 1974 she held her first exhibition in TAHITI.

The great Boris Vallejo has to be presented on this website. You know him already , but if you don’t, take some time to view his art.

Born in Lima, Peru, Boris attended the National School of Fine Arts in his native country before immigrating to the United States in 1964.
He has since done a great volume of work for the Fantasy field, having worked for virtually every major publishing house with a science fiction/fantasy line. Boris has also illustrated for album covers, video box art and motion picture advertising.

His mastery of oil painting is immediately and abundantly clear to anyone who looks at his work, and his classic sense is as much an homage to the old masters as it is to anyone contemporaneously working in the Fantasy genre.
For sheer dauntless bravura, few have ever pushed the limits as does Boris with his beautiful maidens and fearsome monsters.

This website has some interesting art samples which you can see also below.
I am one of those people who is equally left and right brained; I enjoy solving both technical and artistic problems using the same common ingredient: creativity.
I grew up in California and have spent countless hours exploring the beauty of its mountains and deserts. My works are inspired both by my technical background and by the environment around me – the natural wilderness and the man made interventions. I beautify unnatural landscapes through a play of color and texture in order to draw the viewers attention to the ways in which we are destroying the natural beauty of our world. Much of my work addresses water issues in California. Most of California is desert: the majority of the state receives little or no rain for 6 months out of each year. This makes it difficult to develop agriculture or sustain a large population without human intervention. During the 20th century huge scale interventions were built to transport water from other states via aqueducts, to catch water in reservoirs using dams, and to pump ground water. These projects are awesome in their magnitude and have an eerie beauty as feats of engineering yet each has destroyed the natural landscape. We rely on this water to live yet we have created an infrastructure that is not sustainable in the long term. My art invites the viewer to ponder these contradictions in beauty and our long term strategies for sustainable development.
